Maureen has extensive experience working with children and young people, and worked in social care services in London Borough Brent for 32 years, taking early retirement 2014. She qualified as a Social Worker in 1979; was a school governor for four years, two of them as Deputy Chair. Maureen has project managed numerous government initiative projects, including Aiming High for Disabled Children and Young People: better support for families. She currently volunteers with a leading Substance Misuse Charity as a Criminal Justice Drug and Alcohol practitioner.
